Terms of Use

Paper Tiger is an education technology service for study and active recall. It helps learners practise explaining concepts, compare attempts against answer-key material, receive AI-assisted feedback, save progress, schedule review, and create targeted flashcards.

Paper Tiger is operated by Paper Tiger Learning Technologies Ltd. It is not a school, university, exam board, tutoring provider, professional adviser, or regulated professional service.

Paper Tiger content, grading, feedback, summaries, primers, flashcards, and AI outputs are for study support only. They are not professional, regulated, or personalised advice, and they are not a substitute for checking primary sources, course materials, official guidance, tutors, or qualified professionals.

You are responsible for how you use the app and for independently checking important information.

Paper Tiger is for your own notes, recall attempts, and study materials you have the right to use. Do not paste large textbook extracts, paid course packs, restricted handouts, or other third-party content unless you have permission or another lawful basis. Keep sensitive personal material out of the app.

Paper Tiger is an education technology service. From time to time:

• Access may require an account, request approval, an invite link, or payment, and may be limited, suspended, or withdrawn where needed for security, misuse, payment, or service reasons.
• Features may change, move, or be removed.
• Data models, study plans, pricing, content availability, and product limits may change as the service develops.
• The app may have downtime, bugs, incomplete content, or inaccurate feedback.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. You should use accurate account information and tell the Paper Tiger team if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree that you will not:

• Do not submit large textbook extracts, paid course packs, restricted handouts, or other third-party study materials unless you have permission or another lawful basis.
• Do not submit sensitive personal material or real-world facts that do not belong in a study app.
• Do not use Paper Tiger as a substitute for qualified professional advice or for decisions about real people, organisations, disputes, medical matters, finances, or other high-stakes situations.
• Do not attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, authentication, billing controls, or security protections.
• Do not upload or submit content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not use the app to generate unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, inconsistent, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances. Paper Tiger uses answer-key-led grading where available, but it does not guarantee perfect scoring, complete coverage, exam success, or any learning outcome.

You retain responsibility for reviewing your own work and deciding what to study next.

You are responsible for the content you submit. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to use it in Paper Tiger and that it does not breach these terms.

You allow Paper Tiger to process your submitted content to provide the app, including grading, feedback, storage, review scheduling, flashcards, support, troubleshooting, security, and privacy features.

The Privacy Notice explains how Paper Tiger handles personal data, cookies, browser storage, optional analytics, AI processing, and privacy requests.

Paper Tiger may change, pause, restrict, or discontinue features at any time. Paper Tiger Learning Technologies Ltd may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Some content, such as study packs, is sold as a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

Study packs are digital content supplied immediately after payment. At checkout you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access begins.

Your statutory rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced or, where that is not possible or does not fix the problem, to a price reduction or refund.

To ask about a cancellation or refund, email hello@paper-tiger.co.uk from your account email with the pack name and approximate purchase date. Requests receive a reply within 14 days, and any refund goes back to the original payment method.

If something has gone wrong, email hello@paper-tiger.co.uk. Complaints are acknowledged and handled as quickly as possible, normally within 14 days.

Paper Tiger Learning Technologies Ltd is not required to use, and does not currently participate in, an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. This does not affect your statutory rights or your right to bring court proceedings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paper Tiger is provided as is and as available. Paper Tiger Learning Technologies Ltd is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
